Hawick No Match for Selkirk

Selkirk’s first XI enjoyed a 28 run victory over Hawick on Saturday, ensuring that the club’s League Cup campaign would at least end of a winning note. Rory Banks contributed the vital innings as the talented teenager anchored the Selkirk innings with a well-composed 46. Greg Fenton and Steven Wilson contributed useful supporting knocks.

In the field, Selkirk bowled and fielded sharply. Steven Wilson and Kenny Paterson disposed of the Hawick top and middle order while Jordan Reid mopped up the tail in fine style to complete a deserved victory.
