Weather 2 Selkirk 0

The rain gods conspired against Selkirk this weekend, preventing play on either Saturday or Sunday. A thunderstorm on Friday night left the square waterlogged and, it was decided, unfit for play. Persistent rain on Saturday afternoon meant that even if the Ronnie Simpson Memorial game against Hawick had begun it could not have been completed.

Saturday night then produced nearly two more inches of rain, saturating the square and rendering it unfit for play and forcing the cancellation of the 2nd XI’s match against Manderston.
